The Connections screen
Connections in Global lists what your company is connected to. It has three groups.
- Google (Analytics / Search Console / Keyword Planner) — per brand
- Conversation channels — website chat, email, LINE, WhatsApp and so on
- Marketplaces — venues someone else owns where you list products (such as BUYMA)
Connections is shown to the Owner. The Owner can hand this permission to others through Roles or an individual exception. It can also be opened from Console settings (Settings on the left rail).
Website chat
An AI assistant on your brand's site. It is built in (marked Built-in), so there is nothing to enable. It takes visitors' questions and answers from the knowledge your brand chose to publish. It does not send anything outward.
Email (the brand mailbox)
Each brand's shared mailbox is connected through that brand's own Gmail account. Replies are sent from that account, and customer mail is received through it.
- On the email row under Conversation channels, press Connect with Gmail
- On Google's screen, sign in as that account and allow access
- You never type a password or token
The inbox is read without changing it. The row shows the last inbox sync and how many messages were taken in. To stop, press Disconnect; remove the access you granted from your Google account settings as well.
What is taken in The inbox and the sent folder are read, but only the brand's own correspondence is taken in: mail from people you know as customers, replies on a conversation that has already landed, and what you sent. Newsletters and automatic mail are left out. Unknown senders are not taken in; their sender, subject and date are counted by domain and shown as “not taken (unclassified)”. Register a sender as a customer and their next mail lands. The first read goes back 30 days, and each sync reads a bounded number (the rest come in on the next one).
What the AI does with it Your mail is not used to train an AI model, by us or by the AI providers we use. The AI reads the mail when you press “Draft a reply with AI” on a case: it drafts from the past replies nearest in meaning to the question (the replies you sent, indexed with addresses and names redacted — thousands are fine), the resolutions recorded on comparable cases, and the brand's knowledge and voice, and lists its sources under the draft with how close each past reply was. The index is refreshed from your sent replies on every automatic inbox sync. When there is nothing to lean on it returns an empty draft; it does not make an answer up. Sending is a human act (see “A person decides before anything is sent” below). The brand's knowledge grows through Resolutions and Learnings in Support.
Connecting and disconnecting is done by the Owner (or someone allowed to connect for that brand).
LINE and WhatsApp
Connect a LINE Official Account or a WhatsApp Business account to receive messages and send replies and product cards.
- Step 1: press Enable to enable it for the company (tenant)
- Step 2: for each brand, press Connect and paste the account's values (for LINE, the channel secret and channel access token; for WhatsApp, the app secret and access token)
- Register the webhook path shown on screen in LINE Developers (or in Meta)
The values you paste are stored in the vault and never shown again. The LINE row shows how many messages were sent this month against the plan limit you declared. Under Entry points you can create tracked links and QR codes that lead to adding the account as a friend or to a page on your site.
To sell on LINE and WhatsApp, use the monthly add-ons (Sell & chat on LINE / Sell & chat on WhatsApp).
A person decides before anything is sent
Sending outward on LINE, WhatsApp or email cannot be undone. So even when the AI prepares the recipients and the message, it is sent only in one of two cases.
- You checked it and approved it
- It falls within what you delegated under AI delegation, with the scope, budget and deadline you set
When people send, it depends on their role. The Owner, Admins and Channel Publishers can send to named recipients. Broadcasts to all followers and sends to large audiences are for the Owner and Admins. Members can see how many people a send would reach and this month's count, but cannot send.
Google (search and analytics)
In the Google group, press Configure on a brand's row to open External analytics. Press Connect with Google, sign in with the Google account that already uses this site's GA4 and Search Console, and pick an existing property. One brand is one site (one domain).
- Read GA4 (traffic) and Search Console (search queries); Ingest now pulls them on demand
- Connect Google Keyword Planner to pull search volumes automatically
- Use View imported data to check search queries and the pages people read
It only reads; nothing is written back to Google. The row shows what is connected (GA4, Search Console, Keyword Planner).
Payments and marketplaces
- Payments (Stripe) — connect it in Payment Settings in Commerce to keep order status in sync. Payment Settings is shown to the Owner
- BUYMA — Marketplaces under Connections shows whether it is connected. The listing work itself happens in Listings in Commerce, for brands with Marketplace selling switched on
